ITINERARY

Day 0: Sandakan / Embark Caledonian Sky

Day 1: Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia)

Day 2: Sandakan (Borneo, Malaysia)

Since the beginning of the 20th century, the oldest tropical rainforest in the World has been protected within the national parks of Malaysia. Its at the heart of one of these natural heritage sites, Sandakan National Park in Sabah, situated in the North-West of Borneo, that you will set out to explore primitive landscapes and experience a natural and unique adventure.

This old growth forest is one of the richest kaleidoscopes of flora and fauna, including the famous Orang-Utan, whose name means man of the forest in Malay. The latter is the only Asian representative of the great apes and is easily recognizable by its long arms and its flamboyant orange fur. Particularly impressive, like their cousins the Gorillas and Chimpanzees, Orang-Utans are capable of using tools and learning simple languages through signs.

Aside from mothers and their young, Orang-Utans are a solitary species that spend most of their life swinging from the tops of tall trees. Treat yourself to this thrilling encounter and a fascinating adventure back to nature, in pristine scenery from the beginning of time.

Days 3 & 4: Puerto Princesa (Philippines)

The capital of Palawan Island, Puerto Princesa owes its name to the legend of Princess Eulalia of Spain and is considered to be a real corner of paradise.

During your stopover, we invite you to discover its mysterious subterranean river, which winds its way through a vast cave composed of giant stalactites and stalagmites before throwing itself into the China Sea. Today, the fact that it is subject to tidal influences makes it one of the rarest natural phenomena in the world!

Fall under the spell of this strange site, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and recognized as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.

Day 5: El Nido (Philippines)

Palawan Island, known as the last frontier of the Philippines, is a veritable verdant jewel, a natural paradise home to great swathes of tropical rainforest. The fine sandy beaches, abrupt limestone cliffs and mangroves sculpt the coastline.

To the north of Palawan, do not miss the chance to discover the idyllic setting of El Nido (the Nest) a secret island made up of turquoise lagoons and deserted beaches. A veritable ecological reserve, the island owes its name to the many swallows that make their nests on the cliff side; here nature is at its pristine best, you will surely see dolphins playing in the wake of the yacht as you sail.

Day 6: Coron (Philippines)

Located at the heart of the Philippines, Coron Island is like an emerald laid onto a turquoise backdrop, fringed with coconut palms and dark limestone cliffs. Considered by lovers of nature and luxuriant vegetation to be a unique site, it also offers travellers exceptional underwater worlds, revealing the ghostly silhouettes of shipwrecked vessels, still intact and surrounded by colourful coral reefs.

The sacred lands of the indigenous Tagbanuas tribes and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this island offers you its tropical rainforests, romantic waterfalls and its fine sandy beaches. During your stay here, do not miss the chance to discover Lake Kayangan which legend says is the purest in the Philippines.

Surrounded by cliffs colonised by lush vegetation, this lake has a unique beauty that invites to you to relax, and take a trip in a Bangca, traditional outrigger sailing craft characteristic of these islands.

Day 7: Manila (Philippines)

Days 8 & 9: Sailing South China Sea

Days 10 & 11: Hong Kong (Hong Kong)

Caledonian Sky Cruise Ship, in the Philippines

Le Soleal - Luxury Small Ship

A sleek silhouette, a welcoming intimate atmosphere, and the same philosophy that has made L'Austral and Le Boreal such a success.

This magnificent yacht of only 132 staterooms and suites, all with balconies, has contemporary decor inspired by the luxury yachting world, with fluid lines and a modern colour scheme combining natural wood with shades of grey and white. White Corian counters in the lobby contrast with the warmth of leather to recall a boat's hull, while the central scuplture of enamelled pieces takes its inspiration from the sea. In the lounge bar, the carpet picks up a tennis stripe theme symbolising a certain idea of cruising, one synonomous with French elegance and a chic seaside spirit.

3 specially adapted wheelchair cabins (Deck 3 = Superior cabin no. 307, no balcony, Deck 4 = Prestige Cabin no. 407 - with balcony and Deck 5 = Prestige Cabin no 509, with balcony) and lifts to all decks/areas.
