The Philippines' tourist industry has a vital role in developing the country's prosperity, and at Philippine Trails, we're pleased to be playing our part.

We're dedicated to harnessing the enthusiasm of the Filipino people who delight in offering their hospitality and services to visitors.

Together, our role is to present the Philippines as a wonderfully vibrant, fast developing, and attractive tourist destination.

We don't sell mass holiday packages! We're an independent company that prides itself on personal service.

We liaise and work with each customer individually, to give them the holiday that suits their timescale, budget, and interests.

Our knowledge of The Philippines, combined with the facilities of our representatives and associates in Manila and the various islands, enables us to offer not just flights, but also a meet & greet service, plus hotels if required.

Our Knowledge

We know the hotels and resorts we recommend - we've either been there ourselves, or we are advised by our local associates in each area.

We fly out regularly to inspect new hotels and resorts added to our database.

We liaise directly with the front-desks of hotels, or their managing offices. We also check customer feedback on hotels and accommodation.

We have Tagalog speaking staff available too.

Trust us! At Philippine Trails our policy is to be totally transparent with all the holidays and services we offer. As far as possible, we give links to all the hotels, resorts, and activity suppliers!

Working to promote a country made up of 7,107 islands, it's maybe appropriate that we operate from an island ourselves - just off the west coast of Scotland!

Lucy McFadden

Based in the UK, Lucy is company secretary, and is primarily responsible for planning each holiday package. Lucy will be the main point of contact for those booking a holiday with us.

In past years, Lucy has introduced numerous friends from around the world to her native Philippines, and it was perhaps inevitable that she would one day channel this enthusiasm into a business promoting the Philippines as a Tourist Destination.

Nigel Sutherland

Nigel Sutherland

Managing Director, Nigel Sutherland has a wide knowledge of much of The Philippines, having visited many of the islands and main towns and cities.

Nigel found the warmth, politeness, and general friendliness of the filipino people, together with their enthusiasm in promoting the country, quite infectious, and this helped persuade him to join Lucy in setting up Philippine Trails, with the mission to sell Philippine holidays in the UK.

This has been quite a change of direction for Nigel, who has for many years worked as a cartoonist in the UK. His cartoons have mainly appeared in The Sun newspaper, but have also appeared in other newspapers and magazines, and in countries as diverse as Italy and China!
