We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this superb little pocket guide to The Philippines
Website Designed by Nigel Sutherland Designs Ltd.
Donsol & Legaspi Legaspi is famous for the Mount Mayon volcano - one of the most symetrical volcanos in the world. Visit Donsol and enjoy interacting with magnificent Whale Sharks & Manta Rays. Take a Firefly river tour - the fireflies on the Donsol river should not be missed, and it is easy to get mesmerized by their dancing! Arrive Legaspi. Our Representative will facilitate your transfer to the Resort. Day 2 - Mt Mayon Volcano Trek Legaspi City is one of the Bicol Region's top tourist destinations, famous for the Philippines' most active, and almost perfectly formed, Mayon volcano. The largest annual congregation of Whale Sharks is in Donsol from December to May. These gentle giants are migratory animals, found in warm tropical waters as they follow their food supply. They migrate to Donsol in vast numbers to take advantage of the dense food concentration of plankton and krill. Whale Sharks are friendly to human beings as long as you don't scare them away by touching or harassing them. Give them respect and your encounter will be one you'll always remember! The strong current from the San Bernardino Straight from December to May makes Donsol an ideal feeding center for the Manta Ray - the largest and most harmless ray in the world. Manta Rays are known to be extremely curious animals, and often approach and make themselves known to divers, but have never been known to attack. Day 5 - Check out Resort. Transfer to Legaspi Hotel. Overnight Lagaspi. Day 6 - Check out Hotel. Transfer to Airport. Return to Manila.
