We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this superb little pocket guide to The Philippines
Website Designed by Nigel Sutherland Designs Ltd.
Manila - Coron - Boracay - Manila Coron is just one of over 90 islands and islets that make up the Calamianes Island Group in the north of Palawan.
Although this beautiful part of The Philippines is popular with divers, (scuba divers particularly will enjoy exploring the sunken World War II wrecks), snorkelers, and other water sports enthusiasts, there is also plenty on offer for those that enjoy land-based activities. Forest parks, hot-springs, waterfalls, and Mt Taryas make for great trekking and climbing opportunities. There's even a Wildlife Game Reserve on Calauit Island! An exquisite and unspoiled safe-haven to indigenous plant and animal life which has called this island home for hundreds of years, the Calamianes Islands nurture countless species of flora and fauna including dozens of tropical bird species, monkeys, Monitor Lizards and more. Boracay's famous White Beach has been described as the “finest beach in the world". Boracay is firmly established as one of the major tourist destinations in the Philippines. All kinds of watersport activities are available, including scuba diving, snorkelling, boat-rides, kite and wind-surfing, and island hopping. For those that prefer to stay on land, there are activities available too, including horse-riding, trekking, quad-biking, and one of the best golf courses in all of Asia. There are more than 200 restaurants and eateries on Boracay offering food from around the world and suiting every budget. Scores of bars and restaurants, with live music, open out onto the beach. Enjoy a pampering massage whilst lying on Boracay's warm sands, in specially laid out treatment rooms, or in the comfort of your hotel. As with all our holidays, this itinerary is entirely customisable. Each Destination can also be enjoyed solely in itself. Day 1 - Arrival Manila. Meet and Greet at the Airport. Transfer to Hotel Following your arrival, take the opportunity to explore a part of the vast conurbation that is Metro Manila. Many of the cities that make up Metro-Manila consist of a sophisticated collection of tall, modern buildings, and shopping malls. Manila has plenty of attractions, modern shopping centres, lively nightlife, restaurants and cafés. Its people are polite, and very welcoming to visitors. Day 2 - Free Time Free Time to explore your surroundings, or enjoy other options such as a City Tour of old Intramuros and Fort Santiago Day 3 - Transfer to Airport for Flight to Busuanga (for Coron). Arrive Busuanga, transfer to Resort From aquatic activities like scuba diving, kayaking, and jet skiing, to land-based adventures including island trekking and rock climbing, to off-island experiences via one of our exclusive jet ski tours or Island Hopping expeditions, you'll find plenty of things to do, places to explore and memories to make during your visit. Additional resort-centric activities also include wind-surfing, kayaking, a visit to our relaxing geo-thermal hot springs, native massage services, and more. Day 4 - 7 - Free Time Free Time to explore Coron and the Calamianes Islands Day 8 - Transfer to Airport for Flight to Manila. Arrive Manila, take connecting flight to Panay Island. There’s an endless list of sports and activities on offer, island-hopping boat-trips, plus hundreds of places to eat, drink and be merry.
